CASOMADO

Casomado is Miguel Leiva, a Chilean/Canadian DJ and producer making waves in the underground dance music scene.

Raised in a household that celebrated his South American culture through a wide variety of music, Casomado grew up on a steady diet of sonic diversity. The influence of artists like Barbara Norris, Cerrone, Willie Colon, and The Gap Band remains with him to this day, a result of discovering a radiant palette of sound from his father's old cassettes. From learning guitar at the age of twelve to his experience playing live music with his former band, he has spent countless hours honing his craft and developing his sound. Casomado's interest in making professional music grew quickly along with his skills as he shifted into creating house grooves and producing his own recordings.

In 2020, Casomado released his debut single "Can't Catch" which quickly gained traction online. Since then, he has gone on to release a string of successful singles, including "Walk Away", "Journal Entry" and "Canto". He has added a host of performances under his belt, including Montreal's wildly popular Pop Montreal fest and securing a residency at Vancouver's historic Fox Cabaret as one half of DJ duo Open House. Creating from an eclectic array of styles including Deep House, Afro, Latin and NuDisco, he continues to develop his signature sound and establish himself as a rising talent to watch.
